Altendorf at Eurobois 2026: 120 years of innovation for the trade
- Press releases
Minden, January 6, 2026
Altendorf will be presenting three technological highlights at Eurobois 2026: the new F 35 sliding table saw, optimized versions of the F 5 edgebanding machine, and the enhanced HAND GUARD safety assistance system.
From pioneer to the craftman’s best friend
The trade fair appearance is dedicated to a special anniversary: 120 years of Altendorf – from pioneer to the craftman’s best friend.
What began in 1906 with the first sliding table saw based on the Altendorf system is now a global success story. Generations of carpenters and joiners work with “an Altendorf” – often the heart of their workshop. Building on this tradition, Altendorf develops machines that make technology understandable: easy to use, reliable in everyday use, and powerful in their results.
One brand. One promise: a consistent brand image
The anniversary is accompanied by another step: from now on, all machines and digital solutions from the Altendorf Group will appear under the Altendorf brand – from cutting to edging. The edgebanding machines previously marketed under the name Hebrock are also fully integrated. For craftsmen and retailers, this means clear design, uniform control, coordinated service – and a strong promise of quality from a single source. The standardization ensures clear structures, strengthens brand recognition in the market, and supports workshops and dealers in consulting, communication, and public image.
The goal remains consistent: to strengthen the trade in the long term through safe, productive, and easy-to-use technologies – with responsibility, partnership, and a willingness to constantly realign.
Three machines in focus
F 35 sliding table saw – easy to operate variants for every application
The Altendorf F 35 was developed specifically for the requirements of modern craft businesses. Its solid machine body ensures smooth running and stability – ideal for precise work in daily use. At Eurobois 2026, it will be presented in several versions that clearly differ in terms of equipment and performance: from the robust all-round model for classic cutting tasks to variants for precise, reproducible cuts to more powerful configurations for intensive continuous operation.
Equipped as standard with motorized height and swivel adjustment, double roller carriage, and 15-inch touch control, the F 35 combines modern control technology with ergonomic operation. All variants are also prepared for connection to the Altendorf NEXUS IIOT platform – for companies that want to digitally network their workshop processes and make them future-proof.
F 5 edgebanding machine – compact, precise, optimized
The F 5 offers continuous edge processing with high precision. It combines essential processing steps – such as joining, cutting, milling, scraper blade processing, and polishing – in one compact system.
The F 5 will be presented in a revised form at Eurobois 2026: the control system, units, and processes have been specifically optimized – with a focus on even greater ease of use, higher efficiency, and reliable repeat accuracy in everyday use.
HAND GUARD – Further developed for greater safety in everyday workshop use
At Eurobois 2026, the Altendorf Group will present HAND GUARD, the revised version of its AI-based safety assistance system for sliding table saws with GS certification from German safety authorities.
The new generation has been specifically simplified in terms of operation and is even more intuitive to use in everyday work. HAND GUARD detects potential hazards in real time and helps prevent accidents without interrupting the workflow. This makes a proven protection mechanism even more accessible for companies that depend on safety, speed, and reliability on a daily basis.
