Defond Design

Bringing interior renovation projects to life

Based in the Paris region, Defond Design is an artisanal manufacturer specializing in bespoke closets, furniture and storage units, with a keen focus on aesthetics.

About Defond Design

Pierre-Henri, who is passionate about contemporary design, strives to create furniture that fits in perfectly with both classic and avant-garde interiors.

Pierre-Henri Le-Defond, once an operations manager for a hotel group, left his corporate career behind to pursue his true passion: crafting wooden furniture. Despite a comfortable job and a hobby making wooden trunks, he longed to return to manual work. In 2013, his path crossed with that of a retired joiner who taught him the trade. This experience ignited his journey, allowing him to manage the business side of things while completing various training courses. Eventually, he launched Defond Design, transforming his passion into a thriving venture.

Today, Pierre-Henri also presents “Détox ta maison”, a popular show on TF1 focused on well-being in interiors and interior design. With an average audience of 2 million viewers, the program showcases his expertise and passion. Alongside his television work, he manages Defond Design and regularly features his Altendorf F45 Edition 500, a tool he loves, on screen.

A passion for design

Everything is made in the Moisselles workshop, at half the cost of large-scale structures. What’s more, the joiner is passionate about his craft and puts all his energy into each project, prioritising quality over quantity. A truly artisanal approach for a human-scale structure just the way we like them.

Optimising space

Having taken over his mentor’s 400 m2 workshop, Pierre-Henri works while being the sole point of contact for each customer. Specialising in the creation of made-to-measure wardrobes, dressing rooms and lounge furniture, he uses mainly wood, with a palette of 200 different colours to choose from. He combines ease of use with aesthetic appeal to optimise spaces, whether large or small. Its speciality? Irregular walls, sloping ceilings and quirky corners that require a high level of technical expertise. His strength? His meticulousness, patience and precision in each of his projects.
