About Defond Design
Pierre-Henri, who is passionate about contemporary design, strives to create furniture that fits in perfectly with both classic and avant-garde interiors.
Pierre-Henri Le-Defond, once an operations manager for a hotel group, left his corporate career behind to pursue his true passion: crafting wooden furniture. Despite a comfortable job and a hobby making wooden trunks, he longed to return to manual work. In 2013, his path crossed with that of a retired joiner who taught him the trade. This experience ignited his journey, allowing him to manage the business side of things while completing various training courses. Eventually, he launched Defond Design, transforming his passion into a thriving venture.
Today, Pierre-Henri also presents “Détox ta maison”, a popular show on TF1 focused on well-being in interiors and interior design. With an average audience of 2 million viewers, the program showcases his expertise and passion. Alongside his television work, he manages Defond Design and regularly features his Altendorf F45 Edition 500, a tool he loves, on screen.
“With a motorised rip fence accurate to 1/10th of a mm, spread scoring and an oversized sliding carriage, this Altendorf F45 Edition 500 sliding-table saw is the best machine on the market. The quality of the cut is perfect, with no splinters, for fast, accurate work.”
